PC Field Engineer (Job Code 1001)

 We are seeking a PC Field Engineer to join our team.

Duties: Responsible for designing PC-based HMI screens using proprietary corporate software; implement PC-based HMI setup at the customer’s facilities, furnaces and equipment; implement and troubleshoot alarm messages from the PLC, furnace part recipes, and part tracking; provide support with startup and troubleshooting of HMI, PLC’s and equipment operation at customer facilities; provide assistance with navigation and use the HMI screens to safely operate and control equipment; utilize Siemens Step 7, SolidWorks, PLC programming/debugging processes, Siemens Processors, Allen Bradley RSLogix, capital equipment troubleshooting procedures, ICONICS HMI software, RSView HMI software, TIA Portal/Win CC, C++, Modbus TCP/IP communication protocols, Ethernet configuration techniques, HMI development/programming graphics interface and mechanic/electrical/pneumatic machine schematics to perform duties; troubleshoot how PC-based HMI integrates with other technologies, including PLC programs for sequential motion control and industrial networks; integrate various industrial controls, including PLCs and other network devices, to support systems; research other technologies, including SCADA systems, alternative HMI software, and customer specific technology to support client demands and customer system needs; assist with the research and development of programs to assist customers with the analysis of the machine performance and needs of their lines of products; support the development of proprietary software for analysis of the capital equipment being built at the facilities, primarily focused on furnaces, to ensure machines are running at their best after installation on customers job sites.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors – Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);

Training: None;

Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Commissioning Mechatronics Engineer, as a Commissioning Mechatronics Engineer Supervisor, as a Commissioning Washers Engineer, or in a related occupation;

Other Requirements: Must have two (2) years experience with all of the following: PLC programming/debugging processes, Siemens Processors, Allen Bradley RSLogix, capital equipment troubleshooting procedures, ICONICS HMI software, RSView HMI software, TIA Portal/Win CC, C++, Modbus TCP/IP communication protocols, Ethernet configuration techniques, HMI development/programming graphics interface and mechanic/electrical/pneumatic machine schematics.
