A major international supplier of vehicle powertrains has purchased a stress relief furnace from AFC-Holcroft, for a manufacturing facility in located in Turkey.
The equipment, a belt type recirculating nitrogen atmosphere stress relief furnace, is designed to stress relieve engine components. This new furnace is part of a complete manufacturing line, which includes automatic loading and unloading.
The equipment is designed to operate at 600°C (1112°F), with a temperature uniformity of better than+/- 10ºF.
This order represents the fifthstress relief furnace unit this customer has purchased from AFC-Holcroft, duplicating earlier furnace units purchased. Previous installations are running production in Poland and Mexico. This fifth replica unit is the first to be delivered to Turkey.

Built by AFC-Holcroft’s manufacturing partner MATTSA in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, the equipment will be hot tested prior to dismantling for shipping. Delivery/installation expected in the second quarter of 2015.
