A spin-off of our successful UBQA furnace design, the UBQI was developed for the growing IntensiQuench® market. Intensive quenching is a very rapid and uniform cooling of steel parts that causes the simultaneous formation of martensite throughout the whole part surface creating a firm shell. The strong martensite case or shell minimizes part distortion.
